Bioinformatician - Flemish Brabant Belgium

For one of my clients, a world leader in the sugar beet industry, I'm currently looking for an experienced bioinformatician.

Tasks

- Taking charge of next-generation sequencing data. You will work autonomously as well as together with other scientists

- Design NGS projects According to the needs of the breeders and other stakeholders within the company

- One of your Focuses will be to develop tools That ensurethat the genomics data and results can be shared easily with other non research focused colleagues

- Flexibility to respond to changing needs within the company

background

- MSc / PhD in Bioinformatics or Several years of experience as bioinformatician

- Deep understanding of Genetics

- Working proficiency with Perl and / or other scripting languages

- Experience in working with next-generation sequencing technologies

- Understanding of Linux / Unix is highly preferred

- Experience in setting up genome browsers
