This is a large, well-funded oncogenomics project that has just gotten under way. (5)Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Fellow: Human Epigenomic Variation in Development and Disease
Position Code: SC10156The Prabhakar group has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of statistical epigenomics and human population variation. The group has initiated multiple large-scale projects that use Next-Gen sequencing to understand the role of transcriptional regulation and epigenomics in mediating the effects of genetic variants on human development and disease. Specific areas of interest include stem cell development and neuronal disorders such as autism and major depression.The Fellow will be expected to lead the development of statistical techniques and algorithms for analyzing next-gen sequence data and polymorphism data in control and affected cohorts.
